The Alice Springs Cultural Precinct is home to some of the most interesting cultural and historical attractions in Alice Springs. It encompasses performing and visual arts, the natural history of the region, Aboriginal culture and the more recent European settlement. The Cultural Precinct includes the Araluen Centre and Galleries, Namatjira Gallery, Grand Circle Yeperenye Sculpture, Museum of Central Australia, the Strehlow Research Centre, Central Australian Aviation Museum, Territory Craft and Memorial Cemetery.

The most visited landmark in Alice Springs, ANZAC Hill is the ideal spot for an overview of the town. The lookout affords a panoramic view of Alice Springs and the beautiful MacDonnell Ranges. ANZAC Hill has significance for the local Aboriginal people.

The Ghan was named after the Afghan camel drivers who had contributed to the development of communication and transport links in inland Australia. After the Old Ghan ceased running in 1980, the Legendary Ghan began its journey and now travels to Alice Springs on a standard gauge railway from Adelaide via Tarcoola, west of the old track.

Now the headquarters of Territory Crafts Alice Springs division, the building was originally the single staff quarters and mess for the employees of Connellan Airways. Tour the studio and talk to the artisans who work there on a regular basis doing pottery, weaving, silk screen printing and woodwork. there is also a display of locally made arts and crafts for sale.
